Department: Building Department Classification: Part-Time Reports To: Building Director FLSA Status: Non-ExemptPOSITION SUMMARYUnder the general supervision of the Building Director, the Part-Time Mechanical Inspector performs inspections of residential, commercial, and industrial mechanical installations to ensure compliance with applicable mechanical codes, Township ordinances, approved plans, and State of Michigan requirements. Inspects heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, ductwork, exhaust systems, fuel-gas systems, boilers, furnaces, air-conditioning equipment, and other mechanical systems as required.
