Required Qualifications: Current TNCC, ENPC, ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications; at least 2 years of experience in emergency department nursing care and/or 1 year in trauma nursing care; strong IV background; ability to independently run a mass transfusion through level 1 rapid infuser; rapid critical thinking skills; effective communication skills; computer skills; ability to manage a team and work collaboratively; problem-solving skills; comfortable with leading high-acuity trauma care as part of the emergency department team. Procedures performed on unit include IV placement, spinal stabilization, splinting, assisting with chest tube procedures, traction, central/arterial line placement, and emergency bedside procedures.
