Available for Primary Patient Care to include care of high acuity patients (ESI 1-5) often needing procedures that include but are not limited to running codes, conscious sedation, airway management with LMA/intubation/cricothyrotomy, ultrasound guided central lines, joint aspiration, lumbar puncture as well as joint and fracture reductions. Performing initial assessments, appropriate ordering/interpretation of diagnostics, exercising treatment algorithms (including treatment of abscesses, laceration repair, and fracture stabilization and splinting), and arranging for appropriate disposition (including admissions) for patients ranging from newborn to geriatric.
