ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIESCorporate Philanthropy and Portfolio Growth• Manage and grow a portfolio of corporate partners, prospects, and workplace campaign accounts• Develop strategies to increase corporate giving, sponsorships, employee giving, and year-round partner engagement• Steward and deepen relationships with corporate leaders, civic organizations, chambers of commerce, professional affinity groups, Rotary clubs, and other community networks• Connect corporate partners to United Way priorities, funded partners, volunteer opportunities, and community impact workWorkplace Giving Strategy and Revenue Growth• Lead workplace giving strategy, campaign planning, execution, reporting, and yearround engagement• Develop approaches that grow employee giving beyond traditional annual campaign models• Support campaign goal setting, performance tracking, revenue projections, and strategies to meet annual fundraising goals• Oversee revenue recovery, lapsed donor outreach, donor stewardship, and campaign improvement efforts• Identify employee workplace giving trends to convert donors to major and transformational gift donorsNew Business Development and Prospecting• Create and implement models to identify and prioritize new corporate partner prospects• Develop outreach strategies to build new relationships and revive lapsed partnerships• Partner with internal colleagues to align corporate engagement opportunities with fundraising, volunteer, marketing, and community impact goals• Represent United Way in external settings to generate new corporate engagement opportunitiesTeam Leadership and Collaboration• Lead, coach, and develop a small team responsible for workplace giving and corporate engagement activities• Set clear priorities, goals, and expectations aligned with revenue and engagement objectives• Provide regular coaching, development support, performance feedback, and workload guidance• Collaborate with Finance, Community Impact, Marketing, United Way Worldwide, United Way of North Carolina, funded partners, and external stakeholdersCampaign Systems, Reporting, and Process Management• Use donor databases, CRM tools, giving platforms, reporting tools, and Microsoft 365 resources to support relationship management, campaign execution, data accuracy, and reporting• Monitor campaign and donor data to identify opportunities, measure progress, and inform decision-making• Ensure workplace giving processes, campaign resources, ECC support, internal campaign activities, and partner communications are organized, accurate, and effective WHAT YOU'LL NEED: EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLSRequired• Bachelor's degree in business, Communications, Nonprofit Management, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field, or equivalent experience• Experience expanding a corporate philanthropy or fundraising portfolio through strategic relationship development• Experience creating or using prospecting strategies to identify new corporate partners or revenue opportunities• Experience leading, coaching, and developing a small team to achieve ambitious goals• Strong communication, presentation, facilitation, project management, and relationship management skillsPreferred• Experience within a United Way organization, federated fundraising environment, or nonprofit corporate engagement setting• Demonstrated experience with United Way campaign planning, workplace giving, corporate engagement, fundraising, or comparable business development work• Experience engaging corporate and civic organizations such as chambers of commerce, professional affinity groups, Rotary clubs, or similar networks• Understanding of how workplace giving can support leadership, major, or transformational gift pipelines• Experience with donor databases, CRM systems, workplace giving platforms, or campaign reporting toolsUNIITED WAY OF GREATER CHARLOTTE CORE COMPETENCIES• Corporate Relationship Management• Fundraising and Revenue Growth• Workplace Giving Strategy• New Business Development and Prospecting• Donor Engagement and Stewardship• Portfolio Management• Team Leadership and Coaching• Data-Informed Decision Making• Strategic Thinking and Innovation• Cross-Functional CollaborationUnited Way of Greater Charlotte is committed to having a workforce that reflects our entire community.
