Required Qualifications: - Require one of the following: 1.) Florida licensure as Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), or Paramedic, or a military Hospital Corpsman, Combat Medic Specialist, or Aerospace Medical Service Specialist; or National licensure as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT); which must be maintained active during employment; or 2.) Nursing students who are eligible for CNA exam are required to: a.) currently be enrolled in or a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing (RN/LPN); b.) if enrolled, have completed the first semester of clinical for ASN/BSN degree or completion of first trimester for LPN; and c.) cannot be currently licensed in the U.S. as a RN or LPN; or 3.) Patient Care Technician (PCT) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certification: Provide certification of successful completion of a Florida State Board approved program and successfully obtain a Florida CNA license within 120 days of graduation.
Patient Population:Patients with a primary neurology diagnosis requiring complex nursing care including but not limited to: Cardiac & Neuro medication and drip management, Continuous cardiac monitoring, Continuous EEG monitoring, Acute cardiac arrhythmias, Chest pain, Seizures, Stroke, Post-operative spinal surgeries, Myasthenia gravis, Guillian Barre, Craniotomy, Post brain embolization and Pre/Post Cardiac procedures including Pacemaker implantation, cardioversion, ablations, transesophageal echocardiograms, & catheterizations.
