The nurse will need to perform neuro assessments, NIHSS/dysphagia screens, telemetry interpretation, strict I & Os, straight catheterization, Foley insertions, titrate heparin infusions, manage blood and blood products, venipuncture, blood cultures, NG tubes, indwelling drain management, and administer stable medications such as Protonix and Lasix. Required Qualifications: Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license, American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS), AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
