Certifications, Licensures, and Examinations: Persons selected for this classification will be required to apply to the Maryland Board of Waterworks and Waste System Operators for a Water Distribution or a Wastewater Collection Class 2 minimum license, dependent on their work location Learns the operation, repair, and maintenance of water and wastewater system equipment including pumps, electrical motors, valves, related mechanical equipment, and electrical control equipment.
