You will work under close supervision and receive on-the-job training to develop skills and technical understanding.Responsibilities: <ul><li> Support experienced mechanics and operations staff in ensuring system functionality and compliance with safety standards. </li><li> Assist in routine maintenance and repair pumps, motors, valves, piping systems, chemical feed systems, and other treatment equipment. </li><li> Maintain equipment areas in clean and organized conditions. </li><li> Assist with mechanical installations and upgrades under supervision. </li><li> Prepare clear and accurate reports of site and project activities. </li><li> Participate in safety training and adhere to all safety protocols. </li><li> Engage in the LPS system by performing LPO’s and sharing LPSA’s. </li><li> Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to provide service response and continuity. </li></ul>Qualifications: <ul><li> High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in environmental sciences or related field preferred. </li><li> 0-3 years of relevant experience. </li><li> Basic understanding of equipment operation and maintenance. </li><li> Adept at using electronic media, cloud-based systems, tablets, and other forms of technology. </li><li> Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions under pressure. </li><li> Effective communication and interpersonal skills. </li></ul> Join our team and play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality water services to our community in the Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan area.
