Inspecting and evaluating reliability, flexibility, and maintainability of existing environmental equipment and systems and identifies deficiencies for incorporation into the base comprehensive asset management plan (BCAMP) and environmental sub-AMPs; performs analysis, interprets, deviates or extends traditional methods to resolve industrial equipment or systems unsatisfactory performance problems where precedents are not applicable; and determines and prepares cost estimates for maintenance, repair, upgrades, and replacement. Coordinating with other expert personnel at installation organizations, municipal planning offices, sister services, regulatory agencies, and private organizations to evaluate recommended courses of action and solve complex environmental problems related to a variety of land uses involving conflicting factors such as mission and environmental impact.
