Requirements include a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent, knowledge of and experience in performing facials, minimum of 500 hours of skincare education as well as required classroom work, adherence to all applicable local and state licensing laws and regulations related to the esthetic services provided, participation in continuing education to improve effectiveness (preferred), Florida certified/licensed with a current esthetician license, and preference for skincare focused estheticians. Esthetician qualifications/skills include a strong customer service orientation, ability to communicate effectively (orally and written), courteous and professional manner, ability to maintain client confidentiality, ability to learn new skills and advancements in the field, communicating different service options clearly to guests, providing guests/members with pre/post service techniques and products.
