Position Summary:
The Event Staff is the primary contact with the guests at the facility. Located on Indiana University of Pennsylvania's campus, the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex is a state-of-the-art venue offering a variety of meeting, banquet, consumer show and entertainment options. While owned by Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP), IUP selected Oak View Group to manage the daily operations of the Kovalchick Complex. Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Event Staff will work one of the following positions: Ticket Taker, Usher, Security, and Parking</li><li>Enthusiastically greet and direct guests while performing assigned tasks (i.e. ticket scanning, directing guests to their seats, providing directions)</li><li>Provide KCAC guests with accurate event and venue information.</li><li>Identify and respond to emergencies according to emergency protocols. Involve event Supervisor or Manager as needed</li><li>Proactively approach guests that may have an issue and/or complaint</li><li>Creatively resolve issues/complaints and involve event Supervisor or Manager as needed</li><li>Other duties as assigned by management </li><li>Must be able to work outside in any weather conditions (Parking & Security)</li><li>Work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays</li></ul>

Qualifications:
<ul><li>Experience in prior customer service preferred</li><li>Demonstrated strong customer service skills</li><li>Must have a friendly disposition and a smile</li><li>Must be able to stay calm in stressful, fast-paced situations </li><li>Experience dealing effectively with conflict</li><li>Ability to work in a variety of environments including but not limited to darkened corridors, around crowds, loud noise, flashing lights, and haze effects</li><li>Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.</li></ul>
