Our Client company in Coopersburg is hiring A Purchasing BuyerPay Rate $25-30 per hour Shift time: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm with a 1 hour lunch breakThe Purchasing Buyer position is responsible for identifying, sourcing and purchasing materials in accordance with the needs of the manufacturing operations and support services for the facility in Coopersburg, PA.  The Purchasing Buyer will identify new potential suppliers as well as additional cost saving opportunities with the existing supply chain.  The Purchasing Buyer is a cross-functional team member working with various departments across the organization.  Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Sourcing and procurement of purchased materials, parts, supplies, equipment, and services in support of the manufacturing facility.</li><li>Utilizing a Strategic approach to understanding markets for various commodities and uses knowledge of market prices to negotiate contracts, pricing and mitigate purchase price variances.</li><li>Manage supplier relationships, coordination of timely deliveries and resolution of late deliveries and expediting of deliveries, as necessary.</li><li>Analyzes demand and usage information to create strategic actions that maximize volume purchases without excessive inventory impact.</li><li>Utilizes the ERP system for re-order point processes to prevent Zero bin occurrences and mitigate impacts from long lead purchases.</li><li>Establish alternative sources for materials and services that result in cost reductions and efficient spend improvements.</li><li>Coordinates defective material resolution with suppliers and actions related to defective materials across multiple departments including engineering, manufacturing, inventory control, sales, and finance.</li><li>Coordinates Engineering Change Notifications with suppliers.</li><li>Performs supplier assessments and maintains supplier report card to ensure the best suppliers are used for procurement.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Strong Proficiency in MS office suite (particularly strong in Excel and SharePoint applications).</li><li>Demonstrated utilization of ERP systems as a key tool within job scopes (NetSuite a plus).</li><li>Ability to read, understand, and have technical discussions with suppliers and internal teams regarding blueprints and specifications.</li><li>Familiar with manufacturing, purchasing, and inventory control methods and processes.</li><li>Ability to prioritize work and multi-task to meet the demands of the project schedule.</li><li>Strong communication skills with vendors, customers, sales & marketing, and technical personnel.</li></ul>Preferred requirement <ul><li>5 years minimum work experience in a manufacturing environment (electrical applications a plus).</li></ul>Education<ul><li>Bachelor’s or Associate degree with equivalent work experience.</li><li>Equivalent work experience without a degree = 10+ years.</li></ul>  WHY WORK FOR ONESOURCE STAFFING?-Gain Access to our Vast Network of Client Connections -Weekly Pay -One-on-One Staffing Manager support OneSource Staffing Quakertown 25 Quakers Way Quakertown, PA 18951 Phone: 215-631-9500 Quick Apply at www.onesourcestaffing.com
