The qualifications are: A bachelors degree in historic preservation, museum studies, education, history, American studies, anthropology, or architectural history; five years of general experience in museum or historic site operations involving education, research, exhibition, and/or collection management including accessioning, cataloging, inventory, and object care/handling; including four years of administrative experience (budgeting, planning, directing, and/or supervision) at a historic house, historic site, historic park, historic section of a museum, or with a governmental agency or program having responsibility for historic houses, museums, historic sites, or historic parks, as follows: four years of general experience including three years of administrative experience. 52.7 Non-Competitive Promotion (NCP) Qualifications: In accordance with Section 52.7 of the Civil Service Law, this notice advises all employees of the Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation of our intention to potentially conduct a non-competitive promotion examination for the position of Historic Site Manager A, SG 23, at the Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation, Taconic Regional Office in Staatsburg.
