Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated experience in one or more of the following areas: emergency management, building science, structural engineering, hazard identification and assessment, building construction and code compliance, adult education, science communication, facilitation, curriculum development, public speaking, stakeholder engagement, or working with local, state, and federal government agencies. The Mississippi-Alabama Sea Grant Consortium (MASGC) in collaboration with NOAA's National Severe Storms Laboratory (NSSL) have partnered to create a model for a regional extension program that will integrate physical and social science research from the VORTEX-SE program to local application for a broader target audience.
