Major Responsibilities: • Collaborate with engineering teams to address constructability and design challenges related to commodity installations and work sequencing • Provide comprehensive field engineering support to superintendents and project personnel, ensuring adherence to cost and schedule objectives • Develop work plans, perform material take-offs, create material requisitions, perform and document quality control inspections, report installation progress, and resolve design and construction conflicts related to the installation and testing of civil/structural commodities • Perform civil field engineering activities including inspections, audits, and planning to support the installation of formwork, rebar, concrete, structural steel, architectural commodities, and earthworks • Assure procedural compliance for work being completed in the field • Review specifications, purchase orders, subcontracts, inspection reports, delivery schedules, instruction manuals, and technical data to assist and advise on site • Oversee, interface, and coordinate with subcontractors and subcontractor work efforts • Assist in the management of subcontract changes. Required Knowledge and Skills: Basic Qualifications Must be physically able to conduct field inspections and participate in project walk-downs which may require the following activities: • Extensive walking in and around a construction site • Climbing ladders • Climbing scaffolding • Using fall protection and other personal protective equipment (PPE) • Walking on elevated platforms • Walking on uneven surfaces • Maneuvering around very small and/or confined spaces Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen Demonstrated commitment to Environment, Safety and Health (ES&H) Demonated commitment to a Zero Accident safety program.
