General Accounting <ul><li>Assists in the preparation and development of the annual county-wide budget including analysis and review of department budget amounts. Assists with preparation of department budget summaries and analysis documents for presentation. Attends department budget meetings as requested.</li><li>Identifies, reviews, and prepares journal entries for month and fiscal year end along with supporting documentation.</li><li>Reviews balance sheet, revenue, and expense accounts and prepares reconciliations as needed, using financial reports along with other department or institutional documents.</li><li>Compiles financial and other data for use in preparation of routine or specials reports as needed.</li><li>Provides documents for internal and external auditors and assists with the collection of financial data as required including the preparation of work papers for annual audit.</li><li>Cooperates with independent auditors to ensure accurate, efficient, and transparent review of financial statements.</li><li>Audits and approves accounts payable invoices for payment. Ensures proper expenditure coding, support documentation, and adherence to applicable County policies and procedures.</li><li>Assists with various department’s year-end close out and reconciliation process to ensure all funds are reported and recorded accurately.</li><li>Assists with the development and implementation of fiscal policies and procedures, specifically responsible for grant administration and reporting. Identifies and assists with correcting deficiencies in internal controls.</li><li>Ensures the County’s financial operations conform to pertinent regulations, standards, and guidelines and immediately advise any condition that might be considered a material weakness to the Finance Director.</li><li>Acts as a finance liaison by assisting departments by providing financial expertise in areas of budget and financial planning to assist department in fulfilling and meeting goals. Attends department meetings as requested and acts as a financial resource.</li></ul> Grant Financial Management <ul><li>Assists department staff in developing grant applications, amendments and transfers, and implementing program budgets.</li><li>Maintains grant reporting system for new or existing grants.</li><li>Reviews and updates payroll activity codes and allocation codes as necessary to ensure salaries and benefits are charged appropriately to grant programs.</li><li>Prepares annual expense allocation methodology for the County’s cost allocation plan, administration, management, support and overhead costs. Reviews entries on a monthly basis and adjusts methodology as necessary.</li><li>Reviews and authorizes requests for reimbursement and expenditure reports and ensures timely submission. Approves and posts general billing invoices.</li><li>Monitors department budgets to ensure accurate financial reporting and proper reimbursement.</li><li>Reviews monthly reconciliation of grants to the general ledger to ensure expenses are appropriately claimed to grant programs.</li><li>Prepares monthly journal entries to recognize grant and contract reimbursements. Approves and posts monthly journal entries prepared by staff for grant allocations and corrections.</li><li>Provides support for the development and coordination of the centralized grants administration system for monitoring and auditing county grants and contracts.</li></ul> Supervision of Staff <ul><li>Interviews, recommends hiring and termination, supervises, motivates, evaluates and disciplines staff either directly or by delegation.</li><li>Ensures staff training.</li><li>Interprets and clarifies program information. Overview:
<h1>Senior Financial Modeling Analyst Duties:</h1>The Senior Financial Modeling Analyst is responsible for creating models, monitoring pools of cash flows, projecting portfolio activity and evaluating opportunities, as well as effectively collaborating with leadership on investment recommendations and plans. This role will also collect, produce and analyze credit and collateral characteristics, and contribute to the creation, improvement, and implementation of company models. 

Pay Range:
USD $100,000.00 - USD $120,000.00 /Yr.

Responsibilities:
 Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.<ul><li>Build complex, cash flow-based models to project performance, analyze risks, and structure debt or equity tranches.</li><li>Analyze market trends, industry benchmarks, and the competitive landscape to provide recommendations for strategic financial planning.</li><li>Evaluate potential investment opportunities, including mergers and acquisitions, and provide comprehensive financial models and projections, and present findings to executive team and/or board of directors.</li><li>Collaborate with other departments, teams, and executives to integrate new products and pricing strategies into forecasts, along with staying up to date on expenses and current market trends.</li><li>Create and run forecasts with multiple scenarios and stress tests including the creation of new products or prices to analyze the net impact on financials.</li><li>Liaise with external partners related to operations, audits, banking, and consulting.</li><li>Coordinate with internal teams to provide data, statistics, validation, answers, etc. to investors and other third parties as necessary.</li><li>Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and develop recommendations to increase efficiency, consistency and quality of data and reports.</li><li>Develop connection capabilities from multiple sources (accounting software, servicing software, etc.) and build repeatable reports.</li><li>Other duties as assigned by management. Must be able to concentrate and perform accurately. Must be able to react to change productively.</li></ul> 

Qualifications:
<h1>Minimum Qualifications:</h1><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in related field.</li><li>Minimum 5 years of relevant experience OR combination of education and experience.</li><li>Experience in modeling cash flows and loan/debt modeling such as prepayments, defaults, interest accruals, etc. is preferred.</li><li>To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and any applicable role specific development or design software.</li></ul>
