<h2>Description</h2>Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Concrete Finishers for a project located in Santa Monica, CA.  This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is $25-$28/hour based on experience and skill level. If you are a Concrete Finisher and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career!  Job Scope:         <ul><li>Remove existing balcony tile surface (if not already done)</li><li>Clear debris, thinset, and prep for sound testing</li><li>Perform sound checks to identify hollow/delaminated concrete areas</li><li>Mark and square-cut each spall (~½" depth) using grinders/saws</li><li>Chip out loose concrete, clean area thoroughly</li><li>Remove dust, debris, and rust from exposed rebar</li><li>Hand-mix and pour repair mortar (e.g., Seeka), apply bonding agent if needed</li><li>Finish patched area flush with slab using hand tools</li><li>Apply polyurethane base coat (e.g., Seeka Mastic C25) after concrete cure</li><li>Embed reinforcing fabric into wet base coat</li><li>Broadcast sand for grout adhesion</li><li>Apply top coat after base layer with fabric has cured</li><li>Grout over sand-broadcasted waterproofed surface</li><li>Prep and paint adjacent surfaces (walls, ceilings, balcony edges, undersides) with exterior-grade paint</li><li>Remove deteriorated caulking</li><li>Apply high-performance exterior-grade sealant around windows and control joints</li></ul><h2>Requirements</h2><ul><li>Must have experience with balcony restoration, spall repair, and waterproofing systems</li><li>Comfortable using swing stages and transferring between them</li><li>Not afraid of heights and must always use fall protection</li><li>Reliable transportation and strong work ethic</li></ul><h2>Company Details</h2>Tradesmen International not only offers consistent work, top pay, and employment opportunities, we also provide a benefits package that is among the best in the industry. The Millwork Wood Finisher is responsible for preparing, finishing, and inspecting wood products to ensure a high-quality final appearance that meets project specifications. This role requires attention to detail, knowledge of finishing techniques, and the ability to work efficiently in a production environment.

The Millwork Wood Finisher is responsible for preparing, finishing, and inspecting wood products to ensure a high-quality final appearance that meets project specifications. This role requires attention to detail, knowledge of finishing techniques, and the ability to work efficiently in a production environment. Key Responsibilities: • Prepare wood surfaces for finishing by sanding, cleaning, and masking as needed • Apply a variety of finishes including pre-catalyzed lacquer, conversion varnish, stains, and sealers using spray equipment and hand application methods • Utilize finishing techniques such as spraying, brushing, and wiping to achieve desired results • Mix and match custom stain colors in accordance with project requirements • Inspect finished products for defects, consistency, and overall quality throughout the process • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, including spray booths, tools, and equipment • Collaborate with shop team members to understand project needs and meet production deadlines • Follow all safety procedures and properly handle finishing materials in accordance with SDS guidelines Physical Requirements: • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry materials as needed: • Up to 70 pounds on a rare basis • 21â50 pounds occasionally • Up to 20 pounds frequently • Two-person lift required for items over 50 pounds • Regular use of hands for grasping, handling, and manipulating wood products • Ability to stand, bend, and move throughout the shift in a production environment Qualifications: • Prior experience in wood finishing, millwork, cabinetry, or a related field preferred • Familiarity with spray equipment and finishing materials (lacquers, stains, sealers, etc.) • Ability to read and interpret finish specifications and work orders • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship • Basic understanding of color matching and mixing techniques • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Any additional tasks as assigned by the manager Schedule M-F 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM with possible overtime Compensation: $21-$30 per hour depending on experience KPG123
