This role requires: • A strong background in swim group fitness instruction • A commitment to safety • The ability to create inclusive and motivating classes for members of all fitness levels • Availability includes multiple dayparts during the week • Teaching a minimum of two weekly classes • Leading safe, effective, and high-energy lap swim classes • Providing modifications and progressions as needed • Engaging with members before and after class to build continuously build community • Ensuring a safe environment through proper supervision and use of equipment • Collaborating with the Group Fitness Manager to maintain programming excellence.
• Certified Group Fitness Instructor (ACE, AFAA, or equivalent) • Aqua-specific certification (AEA, SCW, Masters, USAT or equivalent) preferred • CPR/AED certification (required or willing to obtain) • Previous experience teaching aqua or water fitness classes • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
