Examples of Duties • Cleans and peels fruits and vegetables; • Makes sandwiches; • Prepares meats, salads, beverages, and pastries; • Serves lunches to students and staff; • Cleans utensils, steam tables, dining tables, kitchen refrigerators and other equipment; • Assists in keeping kitchen in sanitary condition; • Stocks and sets up supplies; • Operates, safely, routine kitchen appliances and equipment; • Assists in collecting and counting money; • Completes necessary paperwork as required. Ability to: Understand and follow oral and written directions; read, write, and speak English; understand and adhere to acceptable sanitation programs; establish and maintain effective working relationships with others; be neat and clean at all times; communicate in a courteous, tactful manner, utilizing good judgment; exhibit integrity and resourcefulness; accurately handle and account for money received.
