Job duties may include and are not limited to tasks such as: apply products such as fertilizers, pesticides, growth inhibitors, etc; attach/detach implements; clean work areas; direct and monitor work during planting and harvesting; haul and spread materials such as but not limited to fertilizer to condition the soil; inform farm managers of plants or crops progress; load crops and drive trucks to transport to and from fields and/or storage locations or facilities; load and unload materials and commodities; load inputs and drive trucks to transport to fields; maintain grounds and landscaping; maintain inventory, mix materials, dump solutions or seeds into planter, spreader, sprayer type machinery; repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; set up repair, maintain, and operate specialized equipment; tend to livestock by feeding, medicating, general care, grading, sorting, working, placing identification on, or relocating; tilling soil, transplanting, weeding, thinning, pruning crops; use hand tools such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, loppers, knives, wrenches, crow bars, air tools, and electric tools; work in extreme temperatures. Equipment such as but not limited to the following will be used/operated by the workers in conjunction with the duties being performed: augers, bins, silos, loading and unloading facilities, combines or other harvesting equipment, dirt moving equipment, grain carts, forklift, mowers and other landscaping equipment, pickups, cars, etc, planters, semi trucks, skid steers, tillage equipment, tractor/trailer combinations, tractors.
