Responsibilities include overseeing and directing the delivery of all trailer moves from suppliers and to customers to maintain day-to-day operations, acting as the liaison and negotiator with carriers, insurance, and service while fostering business relationships, analyzing and recording quality, quantity, delivery times, transport costs, and efficiency of trailer moves, corresponding with carriers, suppliers, management, and sales teams on all logistical details, inputting, monitoring, and upgrading logistics software, using data analysis from the logistics software to find optimal efficiency needed to move trailers, identifying potential risks and challenges in trailer moves, such as delays, damages, or compliance issues, and developing strategies to mitigate these risks, maintaining accurate records of trailer movements, delivery schedules, and associated costs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies governing trailer transportation, actively participating in process improvement initiatives to streamline logistics operations, enhance efficiency, and reduce costs, and performing additional duties as assigned by management to support the efficient operations of our Corporate Trailer's department. Qualifications include education and/or experience equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management, or related field, experience in the logistics/supply chain industry preferred, experience in data analysis and negotiation, experience working on multiple projects simultaneously, setting timelines, and independently prioritizing workloads, advanced understanding of market and freight conditions, exceptional organization and prioritization skills, strong written and oral communication skills, proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Office (especially Excel), and dealership software, ability to identify problems, gather relevant data, analyze information, and develop actionable solutions to improve processes and policies, familiarity with industry specific software systems, ERPs, or inventory management systems preferred, and previous experience with trailer logistics and inventory management preferred.
