Ability to comprehensively review patient medical records, including H&Ps, diagnostic results, and clinical documentation, to determine the appropriate level of care for direct admissions, including both medical and psychiatric placement, and to identify and consult with the appropriate physicians and clinical specialists to ensure safe and appropriate patient disposition and continuity of care. The position exercises independent clinical judgment and collaborates with physicians, nursing leadership, Patient Access, the Emergency Department, Case Management, Surgical Services, Behavioral Health Services, ancillary departments, and outside agencies to ensure timely placement in the appropriate level of care.
