Horticulture Crew Leader Great Outdoors is seeking an experienced, leadership-minded Horticulture Crew Leader to join our team in Ann Arbor, MI. Founded in 1983, we are a full-service lawn care and landscaping company dedicated to premium workmanship, creativity, and exceeding client expectations. In this role, you will use your plant knowledge and leadership skills to guide a crew, manage diverse properties, and deliver beautiful outdoor spaces. Compensation & Benefits<ul><li>Hourly Wage: $22.00 – $24.00 / hour (Higher starting pay considered based on experience)</li><li>Health Coverage: Medical, vision, and dental insurance available after 90 days</li><li>Retirement: SIMPLE IRA with company match available after 1 year of employment</li><li>Stability: Year-round work opportunities spanning seasonal horticulture and winter snow removal</li></ul> Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Lead Teams: Supervise, train, and delegate daily tasks to your assigned crew using a collaborative team approach.</li><li>Deliver Quality: Perform and oversee fine gardening services including clean-ups, pruning, mulching, and weeding.</li><li>Client Care: Communicate effectively with residential and commercial clients to understand their unique goals and deliver high-quality results.</li><li>Solve Problems: Partner with management and crew members to address on-site challenges swiftly and professionally.</li><li>Winter Operations: Perform and manage snow removal services during the winter season.</li></ul> Required Qualifications<ul><li>Experience: 2+ years of experience in professional horticulture services and crew management.</li><li>Education: High school diploma or equivalent.</li><li>Credentials: Valid Michigan Chauffeur’s License and a current DOT Medical Card.</li><li>Transportation: Reliable transportation to our job sites/shop in Ann Arbor, MI.</li><li>Physical & Logistics: Ability to perform physical labor in all weather conditions. Must pass a pre-employment drug test, background check, and a 90-day probationary period.</li><li>Communication: Ability to fluently read, write, and speak English.</li></ul> Desired Qualifications<ul><li>Michigan Certified Landscape Professional (MCN)</li><li>Certified Landscape Technician (CLT)</li><li>Extension Master Gardener Certificate</li><li>Fluent in Spanish</li><li>Pesticide Applicator License</li></ul><hr/>Powered by JazzHR
