Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, or a related field7 years of demonstrated progressive experience in underground mine geologyExperience in underground, Carlin-style deposits preferredDemonstrated knowledge of metal-non-metal underground mining regulations as pertaining to typical mine geology tasksGood understanding of drilling techniques, mineralized systems, rock alteration, geologic, and structural mappingBasic understanding of underground mine operations and geological modeling. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and training mine geologists in core logging, sampling, mapping, ore and grade control, lead underground drill programs, and work closely with exploration, engineering, operations, administration, other technical staff, and management to develop and update weekly, monthly, 3-month rolling, annual, and life of mine plans.
