MD or DO degree and current board certification in Gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine or by the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine, or subspecialty qualifications that are acceptable to the Review Committee Current medical licensure and appropriate medical staff appointment The program director must have administrative experience and at least three years of participation as an active faculty member in an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine residency or Gastroenterology fellowship and minimum of 5 years of clinical experience as a Gastroenterologist Ongoing clinical activity and ongoing academic achievements in Gastroenterology, including but not limited to publications, the development of educational programs, or the conduct of research Must have or be eligible for State of New Jersey medical licensure, DEA, and CDS Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills. Design, implement, and oversee the new Gastroenterology Fellowship Program Lead the ACGME accreditation process and ensure ongoing compliance Develop a rigorous curriculum that fosters clinical excellence, scholarly activity, and professional growth Recruit, mentor, and evaluate fellows and faculty Collaborate with institutional leadership and external partners to advance program goals Promote a culture of academic excellence, innovation, and patient-centered care.
