Additional responsibilities include the insertion of central lines, arterial lines, chest tubes, post-cardiac arrest hypothermia management, intubations, stroke codes, STEMI codes, trauma patient management, transfer coordination, and handling sexual assault and mental health patients. Clinical skills required include care of ventilated patients, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, procedural sedation, starting and maintaining IVs, Triage, bedside cardiac monitoring, ultrasound use, and infant warming.
