They also play a key role in supervising nursing staff, educating residents and families, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies.<h4>Essential Work Functions:</h4><ul><li>Assess patient or resident health, monitor for changes, and take appropriate action to ensure their well-being </li><li>Develop, update, and implement personalized care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and the patient care team </li><li>Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately </li><li>Observe residents for any medication reactions or changes in condition and report concerns to the healthcare provider </li><li>Provide treatments including wound care, IV therapy, catheter management, and other skilled procedures within scope of practice </li><li>Supervise and support LPNs and CNAs, delegating appropriately and ensuring residents receive quality care </li><li>Educate residents and families on medications, treatments, and managing chronic conditions </li><li>Document care provided, resident progress, and any health changes in a timely manner </li><li>Respond quickly to emergencies, delivering critical care and coordinating with medical teams when needed </li><li>Work closely with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice </li><li>Adhere to facility safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards</li></ul><h4>Required Essential Skills:</h4><ul><li>Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills </li><li>The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language </li><li>Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills </li><li>Physical Abilities - Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend </li><li>Interpersonal Skills - Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism </li><li>Technical/Motor Skills - Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment </li><li>Mental Requirements - Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure.
