Manages the professional development of midwifery staff by: mentoring, training, and identifying and providing access to continuing education opportunities for staff and/or family practice or OBGYN residents where applicable; encouraging participation in case discussions to foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement; promoting midwifery care through the strategic planning and development of community outreach programs, workshops, and educational initiatives; and may include coordinating clinical rotations for midwifery students from accredited programs. Provides and manages comprehensive midwifery care across the prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and gynecological stages by collaborating with cross-functional providers on complex cases, educating patients and families, modeling culturally competent, patient-centered care, and identifying and implementing evidence-based protocols while staying current with advancements in midwifery.
