Operates one or more types of motorized heavy equipment involved in the collection, compacting, disposal and depositing of refuse, recyclables and debris, and clearing and grading of land and /or the processing of municipal sludge into marketable compost to include: heavy trucks, compactors, tractors, loader, excavators, dump trucks, rubber tire loaders, front end loaders, fork lifts, screening equipment etc. Under general supervision, perform specialized skilled work in the operation of several types of motorized heavy equipment used in the transfer and compaction of refuse and/or the processing of municipal wastewater sludge into marketable compost for the Utilities/Public Works Department.
