Unit Details: General Cardiac patients include STEMI, post-heart-catheterization patients with interventions, respiratory failure/ventilated patients, post-cardiac-arrest patients, post-stroke care, renal failure, hypertensive emergency, sepsis, and critical-care needs. General Cardiac skills required include vent care, hemodynamic monitoring, medication titration, arterial lines, IABP, Impella, EKOS, CRRT (PrismaFlex), chest tubes, Swan-Ganz catheter, FloTrac monitoring, titratable drip management, and hypothermia protocol.
