As the first healthcare provider at the scene, the Paramedic partners with firefighters and police in evaluating the situation. The Paramedic offers basic and advanced life saving support, administers treatments, and directs EMTs in delivering patient care consistent with training and level of certification.What you will do in this role:<ul><li>Operate emergency medical vehicle and responds to calls for aid in emergent situations.</li><li>Evaluate patient condition to establish the right course of treatment.</li><li>Provide a variety of emergency medical treatment to injured, sick, or incapacitated persons.</li><li>Perform invasive procedures under adverse conditions.</li><li>Manage non-medical situations such as crowd control and protecting the valuables of a patient if necessary.</li><li>Lift and transport patients, ensuring patients remain stable during transport.</li><li>Communicate patient data and condition to professional medical personnel at emergency treatment facility.</li></ul><h6></h6>What qualifications will you need:<ul><li>Graduate of a paramedic program. </li></ul><ul><li>Current licensure as a Paramedic in the State of New Hampshire. </li></ul><ul><li>Current CPR certification at the healthcare provider level. </li></ul><ul><li>Valid Driver's license free from restrictions and insurable by hospital insurance company. </li></ul><ul><li>A Department of Motor Vehicle Driving History Release must be submitted prior to employment and annually must be in and remain in compliance with Frisbie’s Driver/Fleet Safety Policy. </li></ul><ul><li>Attain RSI credentials with the State of New Hampshire within one year of hire. </li></ul><ul><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress work environment.</li></ul><ul><li>Ability to maintain customer focused interpersonal communication skills and patient confidentiality. </li></ul><ul><li>BCLS, ACLS and PALS certification required. </li></ul><h5>Benefits</h5>Frisbie Memorial Hospital, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
