The assistant demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development, the ability to identify age/developmental specific data, the ability to recognize specific response to treatment, provides appropriate data to other caregivers, and involves family and/or significant other in decision-making related to plan of care as described in the department's policies and procedures.
