Two years of experience in the maintenance, repair, or installation of HVAC or refrigeration systems, units, and equipment; or completion of a three-year Vo-Tech training program in refrigeration, HVAC, or building automation and six months experience in the maintenance, repair, or installation of HVAC or refrigeration systems, related digitally controlled equipment, or BA systems; or an equivalent combination of experience and training that includes one year of experience in the maintenance, repair, or installation of HVAC or refrigeration equipment. Provide initial response, review, and prescribed adjustment to equipment to resolve equipment maintenance issues including making visual, audible, and mechanical checks for the correct temperature; proper operation of the refrigeration cycle; adequate oil levels; unusual noises; overheated bearings; loose connections; faulty insulation; frayed or loose belts, gaskets, and pulleys; and other similar defects.
