The nurses of the Neurosciences Intensive Care Unit and Neurosciences Intermediate Care Unit provide patient and family centered care to the patient populations of neurosurgery, neuro-medical, and stroke including: subarachnoid hemorrhage, cerebrovascular aneurysms, microvascular decompression, cerebrovascular thrombosis, intraparenchymal hemorrhage, subdural hematoma, tumor resection, myasthenic crisis, aneurysm clipping, coiling, and stents. The Nurse Manager differs from the Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) in that the Nurse Manager holds primary accountability for operations, staffing, quality, and fiscal management for one or more inpatient or ambulatory units or clinical programs.
