High School diploma or equivalent; and, Five (5) years' experience in building inspection or related field; and, Must have or obtain a valid Plumbing Inspector's license issued by the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners upon hire; and, Must have ten (10) valid International Code Council (ICC) certifications; and, Must have or complete and pass Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) National Incident Management System (NIMS) courses 100, 200, and 700 within 18 months of employment; OR Any combination of related education and experience that will result in a candidate successfully performing the essential functions of the job . Environment: Works in an office setting and outside with exposure to sun, heat, cold, humidity, and inclement weather, noise, dust, no/low light, insects, poison oak/ivy, debris, confined spaces, mold, chemicals, odors, heights, potentially hazardous conditions, steep slopes, uneven ground, and rough terrain; occasionally requires irregular and/or prolonged hours.
