As a CEI Senior Inspector, you will be responsible for performing highly complex technical assignments in field surveying and construction layout, making and checking engineering computations, inspecting construction work, and conducting field tests.

p>As a Surface Maintenance Mechanic Inspector, WG-5801-11, you will inspect a large variety of heavy-duty mobile equipment (i.e., combat, tactical, etc.) and automotive vehicles (i.e., attack tanks, large cranes, tank retrievers, fire trucks, bridge transporters, armored vehicle launched bridges, bulldozers, road graders, crawler tractors, power shovels, self propelled earth compacting equipment, self propelled artillery, etc.). Skill and knowledge to develop or improvise methods, alter parts, and make repairs in the absence of technical guidelines (such as modifying parts to fit and mesh into systems for which the parts were not designed); improvise modifications to equipment to correct recurring malfunctions; and design modifications to meet special test requirements or other special needs.

p>Certifications: Quality Assurance Inspector, NACE/NBPI (desired), OSHA 3095 (desired), OSHA 5410 (desired), OSHA 521 (desired), OSHA 3115 (desired), NDT-VT (desired), NDT-PT (desired), NDT-MT (desired).

Preferred Requirements:

Completed Maritime Trade School / Apprenticeship with 1 year waterfront Quality Assurance experience OR 4 years military service with specialized training and certifications in Quality Inspection/Testing.
