What You Will Learn: During the internship, you will develop a greater understanding of the rights and responsibilities of consumers and businesses and learn about state, federal and local consumer laws on subjects such as advertising, deceptive trade practices, auto repairs and sales, contracts, housing, telemarketing, and warranties. Students seeking academic credit should consult their career center, internship coordinator, or sponsoring professor for approval.
Experience: Undergraduate, graduate, and law students from various academic fields including public administration, sociology, pre-law, communications, political science and international relations have completed internships with this office.
