Conducts outreach (in-person and online), utilizing current marketing tools, including social media and mobile communications to identify and attract employers, aspiring entrepreneurs, businesses, students and alumni, and community job seekers; Cultivates new programming and strategies to support employer talent acquisition, business advising, and training; Supports the development of policies, procedures, and programs relevant to the position; Develops and implements employer and entrepreneur engagement activities throughout the year, including, but not limited to: employer and business orientations; employer tabling; individual business advising; information sessions; business education and training opportunities; career fairs; entrepreneurship seminars; drop-in interviewing; industry forums; guest speaker engagements; job shadowing; marketing and branding opportunities; Establishes and maintains small business, corporate, non-profit, and government partnerships to facilitate education, workforce, and economic development; Promotes institutional brand and awareness by increasing the presence of Ohlone College in the community through private and public engagement that includes memberships in trade organizations and related affiliations, chamber of commerce events, community gatherings, public speaking opportunities, etc. Prepares and maintains a variety of qualitative and quantitative reporting related to grants, contracts, and special projects; Provides, develops and implements business consultations, workshops, small business talent acquisition events for job creation and retention; Provides training for small businesses in job description writing and job posting; Reviews economic development reports, labor market trends, and regional surveys to stay current with local, state-wide, and national workforce and economic trends; Creates and conveys demographics about students, alumni, and community job seekers and the business/employer community; Evaluates and approves employers and their job postings in the Ohlone College Career Center database; updates the Career Center website and social media accounts and ensures employers, students, alumni, and community members comply with Career Services Guidelines; Demonstrates sensitivity to and respect for the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds of the College's students, faculty, staff and community.
