Teaching responsibilities include 24-30 contact hours per academic year, commensurate with rank, in internship and Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics and/or Computer Information Systems courses within the faculty's area(s) of expertise. Six contact hours of release time per academic year are provided for Internship Director duties, which include maintaining and expanding a network of employer contacts to support student internships, supporting students in the internship search process, and collecting and tracking student performance and other internship data. The Full-Time Faculty, Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics or Information Systems, and Internship Director fulfills all responsibilities of a full-time faculty member as defined in the Stevenson University Policies and the BSOBL Full-Time Faculty Job Description. Rank and title will be determined at the time of hire and will be commensurate with education and experience.Education/ExperienceDoctorate in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Digital Forensics, or a related field and college-level teaching experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, are required for the rank of Assistant Professor or higher. A Master's Degree in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Digital Forensics, or a related field is required for the rank of Lecturer.Knowledge/Skills/Ability<ul><li>Industry knowledge and experience in cybersecurity, digital forensics, software development, information systems, or related areas.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to teach campus-based courses in the cybersecurity and digital forensics and/or computer information systems programs.</li><li>Capability to develop and maintain a professional network to support advising and mentoring of students seeking internships in cybersecurity and digital forensics and/or computer information systems.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to supervise interns and work with external employers to ensure that students have meaningful experiential learning opportunities.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to engage in curriculum development, planning, implementation, and assessment of student learning.</li><li>Ability to use classroom, virtual lab, and learning management technologies (e.g., Blackboard).</li><li>Strong interpersonal and cultural competency skills and demonstrated ability to communicate professionally with diverse constituencies.</li><li>Ability to create inclusive learning experiences that will help students to develop professionally, intellectually, and socially.</li><li>Commitment to advising, mentoring and guiding students, and supervising student scholarly activity.</li><li>Excellent work ethic and organizational, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Ability to travel between campuses.</li><li>Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.</li></ul>Physical RequirementsLight work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Position requires sitting, standing, and the ability to speak clearly and effectively for an extended period of time.Essential FunctionsInstructional<ul><li>Teach 18-24 contact hours per academic year, as assigned by Department Chair and BSOBL Dean and commensurate with rank, including internship courses for Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics and Computer Information Systems majors and courses in the faculty's area(s) of expertise.</li><li>Teaching responsibilities include time spent in the classroom, laboratory, or online courses and in immediate preparation for them; maintaining and improving competence in subjects being taught; preparing teaching materials; communicating with students on course-related matters; directing individual and group studies; reviewing projects and papers; evaluating and providing feedback to students in timely fashion, and submitting mid-term and final grades on time.</li><li>Design curricula that align with the Universal Design for Learning principles.</li><li>Utilize the University's learning management system (e.g., Blackboard) to publish the required course materials and record grades.</li><li>Maintain teaching effectiveness by encouraging active student learning, reflecting and responding to student evaluations of teaching, and adjusting teaching strategies per recommendations from classroom observations, Faculty Mentoring and Evaluation Committee (FMEC), and supervisor evaluations.</li><li>Schedule and hold at least three office hours per week.</li><li>Participate in general curriculum development and other departmental activities associated with a full-time University faculty position.</li><li>Other responsibilities include writing and/or updating syllabi each semester or term;
