p>Duties and Responsibilities: Builds forms used in bridges and other construction for pouring concrete, Molds expansion joints and edges, using edging tools, jointers and straight edge, Seals concrete and wooden bridges, Mix and pours cement and mortar using hoe or concrete mixing machine, Levels, smooth and finishes surfaces of poured concrete using hand tools or power tools, including floats, trowels and screeds, Tighten structural steel bolts with impact wrench, Remove existing structural steel with oxygen and acetylene torch, Drill holes in existing or new structural steel with magnetic drill, Assembling and disassembling all temporary structures and forms, Digging trenches, removing filling, and/or compacting earth with use of shovels and rakes, Loading and unloading materials and supplies,
Must wear proper attire at all times including PPE,
May be required to work extended hours including evenings, nights, and weekends, Additional duties as assigned.
Working Conditions:
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds continuously throughout the workday, Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, squat, and twist, throughout the workday, This includes frequently walking on sloped ground and slippery and uneven surfaces, This position requires the ability to stand for extended periods of time and the constant use of hands and arms, This job requires the ability to see, whether naturally or with vision correction tools (e.g., glasses, contact lenses), Performing strenuous work for extended periods in varying temperatures, humidity, wind, and other inclement weather conditions, Work may be performed in environments with exposure to extremely hot materials, fuel, fumes, vapors, dust, grease and oils, as well as loud and/or constant noise and moving equipment.
