Ability to: read and interpret applicable codes, blueprints, specifications, site construction plans, flood control and energy code submittals and ordinances and explain them tactfully and impartially; plan, assign, supervise, and review the work of subordinate technical and support employees; perform mathematical calculations with speed and accuracy; establish and maintain effective working relationships with the general public, municipal officials and other employees. Graduation from an accredited college with a bachelorâs degree in construction technology, engineering technology, architecture, engineering or related field with a minimum of seven (7) years of experience in building architecture and engineering activities to include five (5) years of experience in plan examination, ordinance administration, application of municipal and state codes, laws, rules, and regulations and three (3) years of experience as a supervisor or leader and training employees; OR.
