As a Cattery Attendant, you’ll support the Cattery Manager by providing exceptional daily care for the cats in our beautiful, state-of-the-art facility—keeping spaces clean, monitoring health, supporting enrichment, and helping each cat move one step closer to a loving home. What You’ll Do <ul><li>Conducting daily walkthroughs, checking each cat for signs of illness or abnormal behavior (vomiting, diarrhea, blood, lethargy, etc.) </li><li>Reporting concerns immediately and documenting notes in medical binders as needed </li><li>Recognizing urgent situations and alerting supervisors/veterinary staff quickly </li><li>Feeding and watering cats according to schedules and protocols </li><li>Cleaning and disinfecting cages/runs and maintaining a high standard of sanitation (odor-free, low-stress environment) </li><li>Cleaning and disinfecting food/water bowls </li><li>Managing bedding (removing soiled bedding, transporting to laundry, replacing with clean bedding) </li><li>Assisting with medication administration when medical staff needs support </li><li>Handling cats safely and confidently, including restraint when necessary </li><li>Identifying cats who may need behavior support and communicating needs appropriately </li><li>Safely moving cats between carriers and enclosures </li><li>Assisting kennel staff with cat tests as needed </li><li>Supporting adoption showings with friendly, professional customer service </li><li>Maintaining HSHC equipment and completing other duties as assigned </li></ul>You’re a Great Fit If You… <ul><li>Embrace our No-Kill Philosophy </li><li>Be a self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and minimal-supervision success </li><li>Communicate clearly (written and verbal) and escalate concerns appropriately </li><li>Be a positive, diplomatic team partner—someone who motivates others naturally </li><li>Be flexible for nights/weekends </li><li>Thrive in a fast-paced environment. As a Pet Nail Tech at Pet Supplies Plus, you’re pawsitively passionate about people and their pets. Providing exceptional, neighborly service at every opportunity during your workday, you will:<ul><li>Perform quick services for all pets including paw package, nail trims and file, ear cleaning, nail polish, paw wax application</li><li>attend our free, paid training through the world renown Paragon School of Pet Grooming for Nail & Ear tech program</li><li style="margin-bottom:1.5pt">Recommend the perfect shampoo to make a dog’s coat shine </li><li style="margin-bottom:1.5pt">Polish the nails of our feline friends </li><li style="margin-bottom:1.5pt">Review and compare the ingredient labels of several food brands for a concerned cat parent </li><li style="margin-bottom:1.5pt">Stock shelves and ring up neighbors’ purchases </li><li>Feed all the furry pets and make sure their cages are spiffy </li></ul> …all while engaging with PSP neighbors and smiling in the face of puppy breath. You’re PAWsome! A Pet Supplies Plus Pet Nail Tech will likely do it all, but may specialize in any of the following areas:<ul><li>Dog Wash attendant duties which include operating and supervising individuals with the bathing system as well as assisting when appropriate</li><li>Restock supplies, complete laundry tasks (clean the dryer filters and hair traps), keep floors clean and dry</li><li>Processes neighbors’ purchases with trustworthy accuracy and efficiency</li><li>Provides Preferred Pet Club membership information to ensure neighbors don’t miss any outstanding offers</li><li>Safely unloads our delivery trucks using the proper equipment</li><li>Stocks shelves to ensure Fido always gets his favorite chew toy and treats and help carry purchases out to our neighbors’ cars</li><li>Provides care for pets in our store, which may include cleaning habitats, feeding, and handling the animals</li><li>Answers neighbor’s questions on animal care to help them find or maintain the perfect pet</li></ul> All Pet Nail Tech's support each other by acting as back-up when extra help is needed. The Nail Tech Team Member position can be physically demanding, requiring heavy lifting (40-65 lbs) and standing for long periods of time. Being knowledgeable about animals and our products in order to provide outstanding neighborly service is a must. We support learning through our interactive Pet Degree pay-for-knowledge programs.PAWsome Pet Nail Tech's will have:<ul><li>Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays</li><li>All candidates must pass a drug and background screening</li><li>Must be 18 years old</li></ul>Nail Techs will make their hourly rate plus 30% commission on every service they perform
