Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Deputy CFO serves as the principal deputy to the COO for financial administration and provides leadership and oversight for the University's financial operations, including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, purchasing, contracts and grants, payroll, student financial services, treasury operations, financial systems, tax compliance, debt administration, shared business services, and financial analytics. This includes assuring the integrity of university financial systems and business controls, delivering high-quality customer service for internal campus clients, and serving as liaison to financial leaders from external entities including the Office of the State Controller, the State Auditor, UNC System Office, and the Office of State Budget and Management (OSBM).
