ACLS, BLS Common diagnoses/Types of patients heart faliure, STEMI, Pulmonary emboli, arrhythmias, MICU overflow Experience or 'Must have' skills ventilators, managing pressors, hemodynamics (PAC, CVP, arterial lines) Sheaths, IABP, Impella, CRRT, occasionally paralyze and sedate patients - BIS & TOF Are RNs required to titrate drips? yes Common titratable &/or set rate drips Epinephrine, norepinephrine, vasopressin, dobutamine, milrinone, amiodarone, cardene Giapresa occasionally Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift? Weekend Requirements every other may be occasional exceptions based on staffing needs Holiday Requirements Holidays are usually covered but days before and after will be required occasional Is there a call or standby requirement? no Floating Requirements First to float to similar units Scrub Color/Dress Code teal tops and bottoms, solid or coordination non terrycloth jackets How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation? two 12 hour shifts Additional Notes Epic documentation required.
