PR/Marketing Internship: This is a part-time 12-hours per week, 12 week, unpaid remote internship. If your availability is limited, you can work ahead and complete the program in fewer weeks. The role focuses on heightening awareness of our work and includes:<ul><li>Creating a branding campaign.</li><li>Conducting an informal focus group and gathering feedback for market research.</li><li>Pitching story ideas to print, broadcast and digital media.</li><li>Creating and implementing a fundraising strategy.</li><li>Planning, marketing and presenting at an informational meeting.</li><li>Utilizing social media and developing strategies for web-based messaging.</li><li>Assisting with The Borgen Project's advocacy efforts.</li></ul>Experience: No prior experience is necessary, we’re looking for people who are passionate about fighting poverty and righting wrongs, regardless of your GPAs/background.Details: This is an unpaid internship, although college credit is available.Start Date: New programs begin every month, you choose the month you wish to start.

Other duties and tasks may be assigned<ul><li>Facilitates patient census growth by providing superior customer service and admission support to referral sources and admission support to referral sources and patients. </li><li>Conducts one on one contacts with patients identified for admission to USRC facilities in order to market our services and facilitate admissions.</li><li>Facilitates and coordinates the admission process for all patients being referred for Dialysis Services and provides outreach to hospitals and physician offices in the defined market to facilitate a timely admission.</li><li>Collaborates with physicians and hospitals to obtain information necessary for outpatient placement,</li><li>Escalates admissions issues and problems according to the established procedures to ensure timely resolution.</li><li>Works with dialysis facilities to accommodate shift requests as appropriate.</li><li>Builds and maintains knowledge of insurers, payor groups, MSOs, and other referral sources within the assigned market. </li><li>Develops and maintains an extensive knowledge of the dialysis business and the support services provided by the clinics within the assigned market. </li><li>Collaborates with internal and external resources to provide new patients and referral source partners with renal education as requested by the referral source or patient.</li><li>Required to comply with all applicable company policies and procedures, local, state and federal laws and regulations.</li><li>Communicates regularly with Vice President Business Development regarding program status, customer service issues, and obstacles (both internal and external to USRC) affecting the referral and admissions process.</li><li>May refer to senior level staff for assistance with higher level problems that may arise. </li><li>Additional tasks and duties as assigned by Vice President Business Development.</li><li>Actively promotes GUEST customer service standards; develops effective relationships at all levels of the organization.</li><li>Participates in team concepts and promote a team effort; performs duties in accordance with company policies and procedures.</li><li>Regular and reliable attendance is required for the job.</li></ul></div>Qualifications/Requirements:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.Requirements include:<ul><li>Bachelor's degree preferred; degree in finance, decision sciences, business or another analytical disciplines strongly preferred.</li><li>Three plus (S+) years experience with multi location healthcare preferred; other relevant experience will be considered; previous dialysis experience a strong plus.</li><li>Proficient with all Microsoft Office products, including Outlook and Word.</li><li>Advanced analytical skills required; Excel</li></ul>
