Individuals in the Future Leader MDS-IT role are automatically enrolled in Genesis’ Future Leaders Program , a structured development pathway that includes curriculum-based learning, hands-on facility experience, mentorship with experienced MDS leaders, and completion of a capstone project focused on clinical and reimbursement performance improvement. This immersive six-ten month structured development program is designed to build the competencies required to manage the Minimum Data Set (MDS) process, support accurate clinical documentation, optimize reimbursement under PDPM, and contribute to high-quality resident outcomes.
