This program is tailored to students in the last 6-18 months of their undergrad program and provides hands-on clinical experience in outpatient care, training in electronic medical records (EMR), qualifies for academic course credit, and prepares students to work as fully trained Medical Assistants. Guided by nurse educators, interns learn essential administrative tasks, how to stock and prepare exam rooms, perform EKGs, and conduct point of care (POC) tests (e.g., urinalysis, pregnancy tests, strep tests, and more).
