As part of a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare providers under the leadership of the Chief Medical Officer, the Family Practice Physician works to achieve the organizational goals of Bay Area Community Health through the delivery of primary medical and educational care in a patient-centered environment. The Physician also provides oversight of clinical support staff (i.e. Midlevel Practitioners, Medical Assistants and Nursing staff) and handles operational issues on the clinical floor to ensure continuity of services and a smooth patient flow.

We are comprised of a 190-bed hospital, 17 medical offices, home care services, comprehensive cancer care and a vast scope of award-winning services located throughout Lodi and the surrounding areas.
li> Provide continuous availability for medical and technical questions to the employees, patient care staff and ancillary care providers including limited after-hours coverage. Be proactive in ensuring adequate follow up of patients and their concerns (will be facilitated greatly by our technology and workflow tools).
Under the supervision of the attending Clinician the Medical Assistant Certified Scribe assists the clinician/s with documentation during an encounter between the Clinician and Patient by providing real-time entry of the Clinician's interaction with the patient. As one of the region's largest healthcare providers, our growing network of neighborhood health centers serves over 100,000 patients in San Joaquin and Solano counties.
The Medical Assistant also performs routine administrative and clinical duties such as scheduling medical appointments, greeting participants, filing medical records, taking and recording vital signs, preparing exam rooms, and maintaining equipment supplies.

Essential Job Duties:
- Prepare the participants for their appointments, including but not limited to setting up exam rooms, checking participants in and out, obtaining an accurate history of present illness, etc.

With a well-established and diverse patient population, BSI has a set of broad and comprehensive service offerings, including medical and surgical dermatology, including treatment for acne, moles, allergic skin reactions, autoimmune diseases, skin infections, Mohs skin cancer surgery, cosmetic dermatology (including laser treatment of unwanted hair, sun damage and wrinkled skin, unwanted tattoos, red or brown discoloration of the skin, varicose/spider veins of the legs and face, etc), skin care products and medi-spa/aesthetician treatments such as chemical peels, microdermabrasion, and HydraFacials.
p>Every day, you will proactively prepare patient charts, assist with patients exams or procedure and relay physician instructions, administer physician-directed medication and perform accurate vital sign measurements, manage medical records (charts and EMR), communicate patient concerns to providers, and collaborate with physicians, insurance, and pharmacies for medication authorizations and refills. Satisfactory completion of formal Medical Assistant program pursuant to the Division of Allied Health Professions or military training that is equivalent to an accredited Medical Assistant program (determination by DHMF HR department in conjunction with the State Division of Allied Health).
Working under the general supervision of providers and nursing staff, this role combines clinical and administrative responsibilities to ensure smooth daily operations and high-quality patient experiences. The Medical Assistant collaborates closely with primary care providers, nurses, specialty providers, and clinic staff while delivering compassionate support to a frail and elderly patient population.
