p>Essential Functions: • Provides excellent customer service skills by greeting patients and the community in a respectful manner • Collect blood specimens from patients, follow established venipuncture procedures, and transport specimens to the testing laboratory to ensure specimen integrity • Provides support to technologists by assisting with the loading and maintaining of instruments, making up of reagents, thawing, pooling, importing, and issuing of blood products • Recognizes instrument and equipment malfunctions and keeps appropriate person(s) informed of problems, issues, and resolutions as needed • Performs departmental-related clerical duties such as checking inventory, stock supplies, answer phones when needed • Must possess the ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems promptly • Other duties as assigned.
