Incumbents observe, identify and document any changes, negative or positive in the condition of the incarcerated individual, promptly reports any changes to a RN to facilitate nursing care plans; demonstrates knowledge of basic nursing skills within the framework of case findings, health teaching, counseling and provision of supportive and restorative care under the direction of a Registered Nurse. The LPN must have experience in fast paced working environments, with medication administration, they must know how to obtain a complete set of vital signs, gather information to report accurately to an RN, they must be able to follow directions given by the facility RNS, a supervising RN or a primary care provider.
